Rude Boy: Enraged youthful insurgent Gange is employed by the rock group The Conflict as a roadie. The film is an abrasive, practical, documentary-like personality research with phenomenal footage. Rock fans will not be disappointed, others take heed. Cast includes David Mingay, The Conflict, Ray Gange, John Green, Barry Baker, Terry McQuade, and Caroline Coon. (133 minutes, 1980)
Jack Frost: A neglectful dad dies in an automobile mishap and comes to life one year later as a snowman in his child's front yard! Nice, likable acting and an absence of violence make this an alright family film. However, it on no account conquers its quintessential issue, an extremely weird premise. Cast includes Michael Keaton, Kelly Preston, Mark Addy, Joseph Cross, Henry Rollins, and Dweezil Zappa. (95 minutes, 1998)
Dracula's Dog: Transylvanian vampire and bloodthirsty mutt, equipped with vampire like mannerisms by the original vampire, go to L.A to find Dracula's last living successor. Cast includes Jose Ferrer, Michael Pataki, Reggie Nalder, Jan Shutan, Libbie Pursue, and John Levin. (90 minutes, 1978)
Hold That Ghost: Prime Abott and Costello, with the boys inheriting a haunted home. Fine cast contains humorous Davis as virtuoso stereo screamer. A highlight is the moving candle. Cast includes Bud Abbott, Lou Costello, Richard Carlson, Joan Davis, Mischa Auer, Evelyn Ankers, Marc Lawrence, Shemp Howard, Ted Lewis, and The Andrews Sisters. (86 minutes, 1941)
Slattery's Hurricane: Weather reporter Widmark, in midst of storm, looks back on his life. Damell and Pool are the two women he has loved. Cast includes Richard Widmark, Linda Damell, Veronica Pool, John Russell, and Gary Merrill. (83 minutes, 1949)
Alien Nation: In the near future, a race of strange-looking aliens is gradually (and grudgingly) being integrated into civilization. Worldweary L.A. cop Caan takes one of the aliens on as his partner, so he could track down the aliens who murdered his prior associate. Cast includes James Caan, Mandy Patinkin, Terence Stamp, Kevin Chief Howard, and Leslie Bevins. (94 minutes, 1988)
Good Times: Back while the harmonizing twosome was still considered wacky, they made this entertaining little film, with Sonny day dreaming about their potential film roles and he and Cher harmonizing "I Got You Hottie." Cast includes Sonny and Cher, George Sanders, Norman Alden, and Larry Duran. (91 minutes, 1967)
The Eagle and the Hawk: Well generated anti war film with hesitant idol March, intimidating gunner Grant, everyone's buddy Oakie, and understanding city gal Lombard. Awakening John Mouk Saunders tale is still well timed. Cast includes Fredric March, Cary Grant, Jack Oakie, Carole Lombard, and Douglas Scott. (68 minutes, 1933)
Michael: A set of skeptical journalists and a fake "angel" find that a dotty old female's claim that the archangel Michael is living with her is real. Michael, nonetheless, turns out not to be your normal angel. Genial, wry film by no means goes where you anticipate and takes its time getting there, however the trip is alluring, and Travolta, as the seedy, randy Michael, is impeccably cast. Cast includes John Travolta, Andie MacDowell, William Hurt, Robert Pastorelli, Bob Hoskins, Jean Stapleton, Teri Garr, Wally Ward, Joey Lauren Adams, Carla Gugino, Tom Hodges, and Wallace Langham. (105 minutes, 1996)
